Jack Update

I realized today that it's been awhile since I update everyone on Jack's new developments.

He finally mastered his pincher grasp about a month ago and enjoys feeding himself. He loves cereal puffs and yogurt melts. Right now, he only does well with super mushy or disolvable foods. Since Jack is always up for a snack, I now find it easier to get things done in the kitchen while he's preoccupied with finger foods.

Jack started playing ball about a week ago. It's super cute. I'll try to get some pics to post soon.

Lastly, I have a tendency to say "Ta Dah!" everytime I accomplish a task around Jack, i.e. change diapers, buckle him into his high chair, and so on. Last week I put him in his high chair and said "Ta Dah!" and the little rascal said it right back. The day before yesterday he pushed his ball to me and, without being prompted, shouted "Ta Dah!" This impressed me because it shows he also knows the meaning of the phrase. One question, does "Ta Dah" qualify as his first word being that it's not really a word at all? Talk amongst yourselves.

Kodak Moment

I caught Jack playing in the sunshine the other day. He was just so handsome; I couldn't resist.

Dinosaur Valley State Park

We went to Dinosaur Valley State Park with the hubby's side of the family. It was really nice. We got to visit with Jack's aunt and uncle who we haven't seen since Christmas. Jack had a great time playing in the river. We plan to go back sometime this summer. Our goal is to camp at least once a month until the weather gets cold. If you know of any awesome state parks within one hundred miles, leave a comment.

Going in Circles

This is Jack's new favorite activity. I can't believe how fast he is at it. He doesn't seem to be getting dizzy or sick. I get sick just watching him. I know this kid as a ton of energy, but my goodness!

Hey everything's smaller up here...

Jack recently started pulling up on his toys and our couches. He's having a great time with it. I found the activity table in the pictures on Craig's List for twenty bucks. I love that site. I also had to get a picture of his fat little legs. They look super cute when he's standing up. I know it's only a matter of time before they start to disappear. He's already starting to slim down a bit. I know it's hard to tell from these pictures. I did have some video, but I took it holding the camera sideways. I can't seem to remember you can't flip video. ARGHHHH!
