Jack the Pumpkin King

If you love Nightmare Before Christmas like I do, then you'll get the title of the post. We took Jack to Farmer's Market yesterday. I remembered a nursery there that sells massive pumpkins, row upon row of them. I thought it would be cute to take Jack's picture with a pumpkin that's bigger than he is. He wasn't in his most photogenic mood, but I did manage to get a few good shots. We also bought his Halloween costume today, a lion. However, he's really not in the mood to try it on right now. I think it's his teeth. I thought about making him something, but this option was a little cheaper, and I won't get my feelings hurt if he decides not to cooperate in the costume wearing festivities on Halloween night. I still might give into temptation and spice it up a bit. I'll post pictures of the costume when Mr. Grumpypants decides to love the world again. Here are the two best pictures we snapped at Farmer's Market.

The State Fair

We went to the state fair last Sunday. We finally made it on the very last day. The weather was wonderful, and Jack had a great time. He had his first state fair corn dog and funnel cake. How can you beat that?

Jack Update!

Jack is doing just fine now! The hubby and I caught a little bit of the bug, but Jack definitely got the worst of it. He bounced back quickly and is doing well.

Also, Jack's Granny gave him ELEVEN golden books. THANKS GRANNY! I've added the titles to his list on the right. I've been reading them to him while he's eating in his high chair.

No fun!

Last night Jack started vomiting and continued for two and a half hours. My poor baby! There's nothing worse than a little guy vomiting; it's such a confusing, upsetting experience for him. I was on the verge of tears each time it happened.

He finally fell asleep at eleven last night and woke-up again at 4:30 this morning. He didn't get sick again, but I think his tummy was hurting.

This morning his appetite is back a bit. We're taking it slowly with Pedialyte and Puffs. I think he's over the worst of it.

Needless to say, I took the day off work. He's napping now. Think good thoughts for him.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Jack's aunt is doing a wonderful thing for breast cancer awareness month. Check out her blog for details.

Cheese!

Jack spent last Saturday with his Granny and Papa. He had a great time. Granny takes lots of pictures of Jack whenever they're together. Her camera emits a red light right before it takes a picture (I think it has something to do with red-eye removal). Well, Jack realized that was a signal his picture was about to be snapped, and he started smiling really hard almost every time he saw the red light. Granny sent me this super cute picture of the results. I LOVE THIS PICTURE! It's one of those that I'll look at in ten years and giggle over.
