Give Jack a Hand!
A couple of great things happened today. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get decent footage, so I'll post that later. Jack is actually starting to crawl! He's really been scooting lately: lots of military crawling and half-rolling/half-crawling action (kind of hard to explain-starts out like a crawl, ends up in a roll). Today he started consistently doing a few coordinated hand/leg moves. He's not getting far, but he's building arm strength. It won't be long until he's moving across the house. Then lo and behold, this afternoon he started clapping. He's pretty impressed with himself. I think he was applauding his crawling accomplishment. When we clap with him, he looks at us like we've lost our minds. It's fun to watch him concentrate so hard on bringing his hands together. Then his eyes get really big when his little palms go SLAP! I'm sure it won't be long before he's applauding all the hard work I've been doing :)
Oh, the hubby just reminded me that he also started pulling up on his sing-along-stage this evening. The boy is on fire!
