Snack Time with Jack

This video is a little long, but Jack was really hamming it up for me. He just loves to talk. I have no idea where he got that from. ;)

Hamper Boy and Indoor Playground

The first pics are of Jack helping me fold towels. He figured out how to put the hamper on his head and run around the house. He always knows when I need a good laugh.
Today I decided to move Jack's outdoor swing set into the dining room. It's not pretty, but he sure had a blast climbing up and down the slide today. Hopefully, it will help us get through these cold weather months. Jack's having a really hard time staying in the house. To top things off, he's got a cold, so I'm really not letting him outside much lately. Our house will have to be an indoor playground until March or so. I'm seriously thinking of converting our office into a playroom. His toys are taking over!

Nap Time

Although it was a hard process, I've always been happy we started the sleep training early with Jack. Sleep is not a struggle at all for him now. I'm starting to think the biggest benefit of it all is the healthy attitude Jack is developing toward sleep. Today he found his paci and his blanket and headed for his bedroom. I didn't mention anything to him about nap time. In fact, it was about an hour earlier than his usual nap time. He sat there quietly beside his crib until I put him in. Once he was in, he put his blanket over his head (a sleep technique he inherited from me) and started to doze off. I still can't believe it. We'll see if this becomes a habit. I hope so. It would be great for Jack to communicate with me when he becomes tired in a way other than melting down.

Flippin' Out!

I'm reading a book about toddlers right now that asked me to determine if my child was spirited, shy, or easy. I HAD decided he was a mix of easy and spirited, but after tonight and Jack's new trick, I'd have to go with spirited. I can't believe he's doing this already!

Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning

Jack has had a great Christmas so far. I say so far because we still have Christmas with his Granny tomorrow. His aunt and uncle will be there; he hasn't seen them since May. Christmas Eve was spent at Grammy's house, where he got to open one gift. He slept until 9 on Christmas morning and then took a two hour nap at Grammy's. I was pleased because I was worried he wouldn't nap at all that day. He has spent most of today enjoying his new toys. All in all, it was a great Christmas day!

Christmas Packages!

Jack and Daddy are having a lot of fun playing with the packages we've gotten in the mail. Too bad Mommy took them away so she could wrap them! I'm such a grinch. ;)
