Jack's New Hobby

The video will speak for itself. Oh, and check out the semi crawling action.

Big Boy!

Jack had his six month appointment this past Tuesday. All in all, he did well considering he received four shots. One injection site created a nice bruise and even nicer knot. Poor kid! The funny thing is he didn't really cry for the first two shots. He just griped and looked at the nurses like he was shocked. When he realized they were going in for seconds, he lost it. They also gave him a liquid vaccine that he sucked down like candy. (I need to make sure to double lock the medicine cabinets soon.)

He now weighs 20 lbs 6 oz (90th percentile) and measures 29 inches (98th percentile). That's two pounds and one inch in six weeks. He's been eating so much lately; it must have been a growth spurt.

I've included some new pics of Jack in his diaper. These will let you see his chubby frame in all its glory.

Cousins

I love that Jack has ten cousins, plus who knows how many future cousins. He has one cousin who is only ten months older. They already have a strange bond. You'd just have to see them together. They lounge on the floor with their heads together and just hang out. This is good considering they only live one mile apart and will attend the same elementary school (and probably be in the same grade). He also has a two year old cousin that loves to play with him. She asks him to do two year old things like go play toys with her, hide n go seek, and ring around the rosy. It's too precious. She likes to speak for him, like "Jack wants to go in my play tent and sit in my lap." She took his paci out of his mouth today and said "peekaboo". Jack laughed so hard. I got some good footage of them playing ring around the rosy. This right here is the reason I feel so blessed to be part of a large family.

Mad Hatter!

I took these pictures to send to Jack's aunt in Raleigh, NC. She made all the knitted ones for him. They are too cute so I had to share. He is actually surprisingly good with hats. Go figure!
